LA BREA and CHUCKY season one finales

Image
Came to enjoy LA BREA again as the first episode or two were not very good IMO but just okay. It finished on a high note IMO as did CHUCKY but honestly CHUCKY needs to really give Jennifer Tilly scenes like it did in this last episode. Her other scenes in the last four before this episode were terrible and her storylines are just not that good. I like her but this reliance on Tiffany and Jennifer is annoying and boring. I also do NOT care one iota about Charles Ray's human antics at all. They are the worst part of this series. And one person ...actually, two, who died, were sad. I'll really miss the last person killed on screen (trying not to give away anything). I could also stand to lose the storyline of Chucky in that girl from one of the later (and horrid) sequels. She needs to go and be out of the storyline. In any case CHUCKY and LA BREA finished strong.

BIG FINISH'S DOCTOR WHO-THE THIRD DOCTOR box set volume 8

Image
THE THIRD DOCTOR ADVENTURES vol 8 is a must have. First, Sladen's daughter sounds just like her and even more so this time out. Tim sounds like Jon and one forgets that these are not the same actors from the 1970s. The first one is a Jo Grant adventure where Katy sounds like Katy in every way and though, some of this is an illusionary tactic to get the Doctor to cooperate and this is a rather long story, a prequel to FRONTIER IN SPACE and resembles that...as well as bits of COLONY IN SPACE, I really enjoyed this. There are spaceships, space battles, twists and turns, two female villains, a female Draconian who is noble, a reason Draconians do not let females into their royal realm, and more. Throughout Tim does a great 3rd Doctor, Katy is wonderful in every way and believable and the two get a young Draconian on their side who is a stand out character. I'd love to see him become a full companion...to any Doctor. As ever in this time of the show, one of the aliens has crush on

DOCTOR WHO s13: e5: FLUX: SURVIVORS OF THE FLUX

DOCTOR WHO s13: e5: FLUX: SURVIVORS OF THE FLUX   “How did he do that? Don’t you see?” “No.” “No.”   Before I start what others have already called a mess and horrid, I must preface this with the fact that I feel as if a six part story would have been a great idea HOWEVER, these feel more like a season was planned as usual, with six separate stories and then the show runner or whoever decided to go with one six part story so the show runner or another whoever or the same whoever, decided to just smash them altogether. It feels slap dash, messy, and ill plotted at best and at worst: a mess. It feels as if a story was interrupted with another story, rather than one long story. I’m not even sure a six part story can work for the new series or rather for New Series Fans, who are used to aliens in the past, aliens in the future, aliens in the present, UNIT, Master returns, Daleks!, Cyber Returns, Gallifrey DEAD and UnDead! And illogical, boring Doctor centered stories. Angels!

KINDA part 3

Image
KINDA part 3   Very enjoyable and different. The Doctor and Todd manage to escape during the moments right after the strange “dream time” vision they have. Sanders has the same vision and seems to be crying but he doesn’t escape. Later, Adric, through various attempts manages to escape Hindle’s “play”----while on that, here, there are two older men that seem to be drawn to Adric----make of that what you will----while Aris, infected with the Mara, has left Tegan sleeping on the forest ground. Todd proves to be a worthy companion in every sense of the word, easily fending off insults from the Doctor, noticing his own hypocrisy and gently jibing him about it and smiling at him, getting positive attention from the “wise” Panna who calls the Doctor idiot, and in general contributing a lot to the story and the adventure while remaining calm.   The cliffhanger is one of the most original as the Doctor and Todd come out of yet another future/past vision “dream time” and the Doctor fe

DARK SHADOWS 312

DARK SHADOWS 312   “David has a way of getting past locks.”   Vicki gets a IDK in the reprise from last time. David pure and innocent?   When Joe and Carolyn inadvertently stop Barnabas from biting Vicki, Barnabas says, “Good evening.”   Barnabas gets a I can’t understand (ICU). Joe explains about Sarah, mentioning Sarah brought Sam to Maggie. Joe gets an IDK.   Carolyn thinks they should phone Liz and Roger. Vicki says that they can’t do anything from Boston.   When Barnabas can’t find Willie at the Old House, he yells for him.   Barnabas gets two IDKs.   Willie asks what Barnabas will do. “Well, you wouldn’t harm him would you?” and he says, “He’s only a little boy and a Collins. Well, you wouldn’t harm a member of your own family, would you?”     It’s almost six hours since David left.   Vicki remembers seeing a little girl at the top of the stairs during the costume party and realizes now, that she really did see her and that it was Sarah.
