WHO CULTURE made me think this....
You need only listen to what RTD1 said as opposed to what RTD2 said. In 2005, RTD brought us fallible male and female characters who ROSE to the occasion and his plots mostly upheld that "we will survive" no matter what. He even had the 9th Doctor say as much. Skip to the very changed, bitter, failed in America and having had his partner pass away (sadly) RTD2 and he's now saying that we were naive to think we would make it, that we would survive. We won't is what he was now saying and his stories and seasons on Disney reflect that very dark, very false notion. His males in the Disney Error were mostly all savage (including the Doctor), violent and lying liars who needed to be put down and / or were just wrong. Lucky Day and Song Contest show the worst of white males where non white males and females, even misguided were....let off the hook and let go even if they were about to commit mass murder. People change. They either get better or worse. RTD let his experiences (some them really sad and undeserved--such as personal loss) change him into the worst version if himself and the version we saw in 2005 was the best version of himself and his joy with life and with Doctor Who. The 2023 to 2026 version we saw was the worst version of himself. A man that let his writers praise Nigeria, the most homophobic place on Earth, now where the Doctor feels safe. RTD2 now claims his legacy will NOT be Doctor Who but his gay dramas. People do change. He changed into the worst version of himself, sadly. that and the damage done to the show by Moffat and to a lesser extent Chibnall, have set the show up for even worse show runner, the new RTD, RTD2, who aped Moffat's "I mock at anyone who takes DW seriously" and Moffat's misunderstanding of almost every corner of DW, both classic, which he's hated, and Modern, which he mostly pushed to destroy into the worst versions of DW we've ever had and that's been since BEAST BELOW. Doc 9 and 10 were full of endless joy with the occasional sad moments; Doc 14 looks sad being put out to a family picnic (an embarrassed Tennant?) while Doc 15 wants to kill human white males, sit down and cry a lot while literally trying to go up (an elevator). Doc 9 kisses a man for the first time on screen (despite the first one he promised to kiss was Ian way back when) and Doc 10 actively flirts with males; while Doc 15 (the one good thing RTD2 did was have the Doc finally come out of the closet in full force and admit he was gay and he always has been and Donna should know!) sleeps with a female and has a baby! And in true bitterness, it all turns out NOT to be true as if RTD2 is trying to tell us he wants it to be but it cannot. And then he continues his string of mostly anti gay dramas that show how unthinking and selfish the gay community can be and how they bring upon themselves bashing and AIDS, all of which started with cool dramas disguised as fun loving gay friends but underneath the characters are addicts, dying, spreading AIDS on purpose, and ignoring clear signs that they and their friends and lovers mostly hate each other and attract hate from the rest of the world. That might be his legacy, only he, willing or not, brought it to WHO.
