  DOCTOR WHO-KINDA part 2 “Choose!”   The actress who played Todd talks on the commentary, asking if anyone is threatened by those two Kinda guards in their sarongs. Not sure if she meant more but the one on our left as they moved into the cliffhanger is very good looking. It looks as if Davison, who does a great job here throughout, is still struggling to find his Doctor but he’s already done it, unknown to him and that gives it an almost surreal quality, an almost real Doctor who’s more normal than past Doctors. His astonishment at Adric’s “unexpected talent” as he calls it is amazing as Adric always displayed a talent for “magic” and Adric also steals the key and appears to side with the baddie but is caught and nearly tortured and IS hurt a bit by the Kinda from orders from Hindle.   DARK SHADOWS 311 “She loved me more than anyone else.”   The reprise looks exactly the same but who knows? Barnabas calls Willie a coward and he will always be, he says, cruelly. Willie thinks Barnabas is afraid Sarah will reveal him but he tells Willie that Sarah never wanted to see harm come to another living creature. Sarah was inconsolable when they had a pet dog that had to be put down because he was too old. Willie gets an IDK and Barnabas gets an IDK, too. Willie hits his head moving out of the room. David gets out of the coffin but is trapped in the crypt. He calls out for help.   Chimes ring at the clock (?) at Collinwood. It seems to be 10:45. Joe was in the East Wing and searched a lot of empty rooms. Joe gets a “We don’t know.” Joe steps on Carolyn’s line. Vicki put David in Carolyn’s care when she was out with Burke. Joe and Carolyn discuss Burke and Vicki a bit, Joe asking Carolyn how she feels about their engagement. Carolyn made a fool of herse...

  DOCTOR WHO-the brave re-watch: CLOSING TIME   “You can’t help who your mates are.”   Now, I must admit I loved THE LODGER. I loved it when it was a 10 th Doctor/Mickey story but Smith and James Corden (whose late night show is awful and not funny) made it even better to be honest. I loved it. SO…when they announced a sequel, I knew that I would love it, right? Right?   Wrong. This was awful. Maybe now I’ll feel different. Matt Smith shows up as the Doctor but acts as he…well, it is really the poor script doing it to him, the poor actor…the Doctor here acts as if he does not know how to be social. Now, fans might scream that the Doctor resets every regeneration but we know that’s not true. The episode starts off awful with the Doctor acting awkward as if he’s forcing himself to act social and care about Craig Owens, which clearly he doesn’t as he is about to leave right away with a cold, “Bye.” What a jerky dope.   Shona, being a black woman in...
