DARK SHADOWS 184

DARK SHADOWS 184   Sam gets two IDKs. Laura gets an IDU in the reprise and remake of the last time’s cliffhanger. It probably wasn’t smart of Guthrie to approach Laura openly. Also: how could he not know that Laura is on the side of evil? Sam smokes. Josette appears to David at Collinwood to warn him that Guthrie is in danger. Oddly, David asks Joe when he will take him on a fishing trip. Was this supposed to be Burke? Joe uses a company station wagon to take table and chairs to the Old House for the next séance which Guthrie tells David not to tell Roger or Mrs. Johnson about, which is also odd. Guthrie gets an IDK, too. Also impressive: Josette appears IN Collinwood for the first time, though her invisible self has accomplished much, this is the first time she appears or half appears inside the house itself and maybe the only time.   https://darkshadows.fandom.com/wiki/184   184       Laura holds the clapboard. ALL IN THE FAMILY-the rest of season four and the start of season five

ALL IN THE FAMILY-the rest of season four and the start of season five “Louise, we can have another.” “You better call parcel post. I’ve stopped delivering.” “I don’t want to hear this!”   “Listen to that. I ain’t used that word in three years!”   “So long there, Wheezy.” So, I am tired of doing these one ep at a time or even two or three at a time and may end up stopping all reviewing anyway as no one seems to appreciate, want, or like them anyway. I binged the rest of season four over a few nights and couldn’t help but start season five as I think AITF gets far better as the seasons move on. I think five through eight are some of the best. Nine and all the rest afterward should NEVER have been made. They’re not funny at all really, maybe mildly and GLORIA was comfort TV or IS now but boring. ARCHIE’S PLACE was a waste of time. I won’t even mention 704 HAUSER STREET or the total POS that was the recent live remake episodes with Woody Harrelson. Ewl. EDITHS’ ...

THOSE WHO WISH ME DEAD

Not a big Angelina Jolie fan but she does well in this action thriller. It's not a bad movie but we've seen it all before. The execution will keep you guessing and riveted, for the most part and I, for one, wanted to find out what happened to each of the "good" characters. We have a boy in danger as in the older movie GLORIA and a female who failed during a firestorm in the past to save three boys, now doing her best to save the boy, who is on the run from the hit men (an actor you love to hate from GAME OF THRONES and also Nicholas Hoult, who usually plays sympathetic characters from a wide range of movies from a romantic zombie movie, a male prostitute, one of the X MEN, Jack the Giant Killer, and more) after his dad (the dad from MEDIUM) gives him vital information to expose the evils of Tyler Perry and gov't men. Oh and Shane from THE WALKING DEAD and the PUNISHER is in this, too, wiht a pregnant wife, who is also in grave danger. The fire, the action sequen...

DARK SHADOWS 183

DARK SHADOWS 183   “Perhaps I care about David more than you know. After all, I am his father.”   “You, Laura Murdock Collins, are the undead.”   Mrs. Johnson gets two IDK; Roger gets one and an IDU; Laura, later with Burke gets a first and a last for the series, an almost I don’t know as she starts and stops with, “I don’t…” She does get two IDU (I Don’t Understand)s. Burke gets two IDKs. I love it when Roger stands up to someone or something and he’s finally in the side of right as he does when he goes against Laura here for the sake of David.   When confronting Burke, Diana Millay, again, gives a great performance (in the whole episode actually) and makes us second guess if she DOES really love Burke and needs him other than getting David. Or is it still all about her getting David? When Burke tells her that her tears are phony, are they?   Roger gets another IDK and an IDU. Outside the drawing room windows are two objects that look very l...

DARK SHADOWS 182

DARK SHADOWS 182   “I like it here at Collinwood, especially since you came.”   Let me start out by saying that almost ALL the dialog in this episode is quotable and while I’m not 100 percent convinced, another fan recently pointed out that this storyline is his favorite among all five years of this soap opera. I’m inclined to agree. I find it riveting and fantastic, balancing loyalty and love with horror and deceit better than ANY of the other storylines. At times, I’ve felt it went on far too long but now I don’t want it to end as I approach the end of it.   David believes Aunt Elizabeth always keeps her word. Although implied that Vicki will tell Burke while Guthrie will tell Roger all the new info in order to get their help in keeping David from leaving with Laura, Vicki says, “We’d both be taking a chance,” before it is detailed out. Vicki also gets an IDK.   Dr. Landis is Liz’s doctor. Roger flubs, “Prune proved…” Liz has to be fed. She d...

DARK SHADOWS 181

DARK SHADOWS 181   “You and David don’t count.” “It’s a terrible waste not to love the people that love you.”   Carolyn immediately gets an IDK. Vicki gets one quickly, too. She relates how quiet it is in the house as Roger has gone to visit Liz in Boston. Carolyn also relays that Mrs. Johnson is spending the night with her sister. Guthrie and David both get IDKs and Vicki gets three more! Carolyn has a warm scene of her looking in on David and accidentally waking him up and they have a nice talk where she seems to understand now that she loves him and he’s trying to figure out what she means. He later writes about an imaginary sister in a composition for Vicki in yet another nice scene between the two of them. David’s PJs seem to match his bed sheets? Guthrie gets an IDU and a IU. Carolyn also gets an IDU (I don’t understand). Joe visits the Public Library and we see inside it, a sign out front and stock footage of the street again. Frank is discussed but not...
