Sam gets two IDKs. Laura gets an IDU in the reprise and remake of the last time’s cliffhanger. It probably wasn’t smart of Guthrie to approach Laura openly. Also: how could he not know that Laura is on the side of evil? Sam smokes. Josette appears to David at Collinwood to warn him that Guthrie is in danger. Oddly, David asks Joe when he will take him on a fishing trip. Was this supposed to be Burke? Joe uses a company station wagon to take table and chairs to the Old House for the next séance which Guthrie tells David not to tell Roger or Mrs. Johnson about, which is also odd. Guthrie gets an IDK, too.

Also impressive: Josette appears IN Collinwood for the first time, though her invisible self has accomplished much, this is the first time she appears or half appears inside the house itself and maybe the only time.

      Laura holds the clapboard. During the scene with Guthrie, someone is

      moving about outside the window. Laura tells him that the place for she

      and David has been chosen. Guthrie implores her to leave David alone and

      he'll try to find out more about what he can do to understand her. She

      doesn't deny what Guthrie says but she also does not say it's true.

      Guthrie then tells Laura everything! Is he stupid? She tells him he is

      powerless against her.

 

      Back at Collinwood, Guthrie begins the plans to have another séance with

      David, Vicki and Sam, all the ones that have had encounters with Josette

      somehow. Joe will get the tables and chairs that have been placed at the

      Old Wing (as Guthrie states). Joe will bring those things to the Old

      House. David arrives and tells Guthrie he has to go steal a piece of cake

      as he's already had two pieces. Guthrie tells David to keep a secret and

      that tonight Vicki will take him someplace fun for him. He tells David not

      to say anything to Johnson and he tells Guthrie he never says anything to

      her.

 

      Maggie is cleaning one of Sam's brushes when Joe arrives to break their

      date and make one with Sam! Sam's hair seems darker. Is it dyed? Maggie

      jokes that the last time Joe was late he dropped his watch into some

      mackerel. WHAT? A joke? Sam tells Joe to ask him the favor, "Go ahead, it's

      ALL IN THE FAMILY." Sam tells him that he likes Dr. Guthrie. We hear new

      Laura scare music as we see her. She once more attacks Guthrie as he's

      writing. By the way, just what is he doing at the Collinwood desk writing.

      Writing what?

 

      Sam smokes again. Joe asks him and his first reaction is no but Joe

      convinces him to join in on the séance, despite Maggie's not wanting Sam

      to get involved. When Joe arrives at Collinwood, something

      strange...stranger happens. David asks Joe when Joe is going to take him

      out on that fishing boat? WHAT? Wasn't that Burke that promised that? Joe

      tells him when the weather gets warmer. Joe is to set everything up and

      leaves to finish that. When he does, Guthrie has an attack. David is near

      the steps when Josette's ghost appears and points toward the drawing room,

      prompting David to find Guthrie, who's under attack again.

 

      A good ep but I can't help but think Guthrie is being made to look really

      stupid. He's also basically keeping a boy out at night and from is

      parents! But worse: he knows Laura's powers pretty much and then goes and

      tells her EVERYTHING! Except for the info that the dumb jerk Mrs. Johnson

      tells her in the next episode. I hate Mrs. Johnson now.
