JURASSIC WORLD: CAMP CRETACEOUS the end of season three and all of season four

JURASSIC WORLD: CAMP CRETACEOUS the end of season three and all of season four

BTW if you’re going to do a JURASSIC PARK franchise TV show this is the way to do it: lots of action, loads of dinosaurs, some links to the movies, almost ALL the movies, no overabundance of references but some, and new twists and turns and a lot of loyalty between the characters rather than nasty minded selfish individuals. These kids really care about each other and the writing is how that happens. THIS is how to do a JP/JW TV show. Well done!

I can’t even begin to do justice to how good the rest of these seasons are. A lot happens and it is all action and character interplay. Lots of running, and hiding and surviving but bad things DO happen. The kids find they have to give up a rescue or two again and again in order to do the right thing and SAVE dinosaurs. Believe it or not there are even at least two episodes that make you feel bad for a T-Rex and her baby!

WOW! Just when I thought there’s nothing more they can do with this and introducing robot enemies is NOT a good idea, I was proved wrong again and then again and then again. There’s a lot of amazing escapes and to be sure, the show is wearing a bit thinner than it was but there are sure to be some wonderful shocks, exciting action, and a variety of different bio dome settings and …one of the biggest dinos from the franchise making numerous appearances.

Darius finds himself in the unenviable position of playing nice and lying to a psychopathic computer genius who would soon as feed him to a dino than play a computer game with him to be distracted. He’s also using dinos to fight each other which leads into the second JURASSIC WORLD movie AND he’s also willing to experiment on dino control by frying the minds of baby dinos, including two Spinosaur/Triceratops hybrid babies. There’s some interesting and touching moments as Ben tries NOT to bond with a baby Brahciosaur and at least one episode ending that is a bit TOO sad and needs a coda on it to show us that Bumpy is NOT too sad with Ben gone. Maybe a happy ending would be in order?

In any case, season four is just as amazing as the rest and friendships are solidified. A boy girl thing is established and it’s funny and fun and realistic. Of course, like most JURASSIC PARK movies, you have leave your disbelief behind and accept that there will be unbelievable escapes from deadly monsters and situations, and now horrifyingly evil almost indestructible (by humans) robots, too. In the movies it’s one movie but here, it’s many episodes and maybe it’s just one hair length escape too many but I enjoyed it and would watch more. I like the characters and the kids finally get one adult, Mae, who they can trust and who helps a lot.

Sadly, season four ends on a major cliffhanger as all the kids and Pierce, their new stego friend fall into a trap laid by psycho Kash and…a surprise boss of his…and I can only hope there will be a season five, it can’t end this way!

Either way, season three ends magnificently and season four, despite a few kinks here and there (and given the entire franchise, not many of those either that are new but built in), is just as amazing and fun.

This show, returning or not, is magnificent. Despite any flaws, I love it. It’s fast paced, action packed, and loaded with characters who care. Rare in this day and age.
