LOST GIRL-the last four episodes of season two and the first episode of season three

Dyson: Hey. Come here... The Garuda, Baba Yaga, the Lich...

Kenzie: Worst dinner party ever?

Dyson: Funny. I'm just saying, Bo can handle herself. Whatever this prison dishes at her, she can take it.

First of all I have to say that these are fantastic. At times they feel like a better BUFFY with Vex being the smart man’s version of Spike only stronger and with better lines and more overt in his bi sexuality/homo sexuality and Vex starts getting the best lines instead of Kenzie, not that she doesn’t get some great lines. Ciara returns in great form but it’s post marked from the moment she shows up and is now some great fighting force that she’s going to die. Nadia’s storyline almost parallels Ciara’s only it’s stranger and not as sexy or interesting. The one part that is NOT true is when LOST GIRL does the exact same shower scene from 1960s CLASSIC triumph of film and horror PSYCHO…almost. I really did feel unsafe for Lauren. Lauren always an annoying character proves her worth in all of these last four episodes and the first of season three. I’m not sure if the show is baiting us and playing it both ways: Bo IS evil from what she had to do or she’s just playing along or she is or she isn’t….it’s great way to get ME to keep watching, though and the guy she sucked the energy out of in the first season three episode wasn’t dead (?) maybe? The villains are all fantastic in LOST GIRL and these five episodes are no exception. I DO wish we’d get the real story behind Trick and his wife who went to make peace behind Trick’s back because the evil Garuda showed him this. Was this real or just a twisted version of events. With threats coming, Trick tells Bo, who thought he was her father, that he is her grandfather and Eva (Aife spelling) is Trick’s daughter. It’s hard to see Kenzie suffer ever and here she gets a mortal wound from a Berserker AND a drop of something infect her arm (more on that later in a storyline I’m not sure I like). Season three takes place an unspecified time later, though someone mentions it’s been three weeks of Bo missing and / or stealing shit. Surprisingly, the great character Hale has become the Ash and I’m not sure I like that storyline either though it does seem to give him different things to do if not more to do. LOVE that actor. In fact, the entire cast here rises to the occasion and there’s some great scripting of Dyson making a terrible mistake and Kenzie bringing a chainsaw to the tree of that witch Norn. The Red Caps are interesting. The Nain is funny as Bo has the brat figured out. The entire mythology is fantastic here. AND I was just wondering how The Morrigan was such a weak bitch to be leader when…well, Vex pulls a joke on her and Bo uses her powers on her to handcuff her to a bed and the Morrigan was turning out to be one weak “boss” AND maybe bad writing when…she shows up to get her suitcase (which seemed important but laughingly turns out to be nothing more than a Fae aphrodisiac) from the stupid Red Caps (who wear blood on their hats! EW…and there’s a lot of EW to go around especially in the first ep of season three)….and melts their skin and bones into puddles!!!! The Morrigan is a great character for laughs but now she’s also sexy AND formidable and quiet gross in her power. Even Bo seems afraid and impressed. Oh and heartbreakingly, Kenzie lies to Nate and tells him they will never work and she thought she loved him but didn’t. It made me cry.

DO NOT miss Kenzie going undercover briefly as Bo’s “partner” and “pet” in the Amazon controlled prison in the first ep of season three. Hilarious.
