DOCTOR WHO-THE ROBOT REVOLUTION (spoilers)

Image
DOCTOR WHO-THE ROBOT REVOLUTION Iā€™m trying to go into this with an open mind but itā€™s difficult after the crap 2023 and 2024 seasons and the crap JOY TO THE WORLD.   The first thing to notice is that no one talks like Alan does. RTD obviously hates straight men and wants us to hate Alan quickly. Alan immediately in the first two minutes or less says that a girl has to be called Miss if sheā€™s not married, worries that Belinda doesnā€™t like his gift, and says girls are not good at maths. Heā€™s obviously the kind of person RTD hates and wants us to hate, too. This is what DW is about now: hate and insults. Not good. Belinda doesnā€™t like the gift really it seems but then she goes and tells Alan it is the nicest thing anyoneā€™s done for her, which makes us not like her much either.   Ahh, in comes the Doctor toā€¦short out an entire hospital. And itā€™s meant to be funny. Onlyā€¦itā€™s not. Itā€™s okay, as he says heā€™s sorry. Sigh.   Well, on the plus side, this look...

SO WEIRD-S1E2: WEB SIGHT

SO WEIRD s1 e2: WEB SIGHT   In what appears to be a simplistic episode we get all the characters once again interacting naturally and realistically. Jack presents a very odd natural reason for what Fi thinks is a message sent to her via the net and email that is a review of Mollyā€™s appearance (where is this? A club? A very small club? The Paramount Club), and later, for a sound byte that is sent that is a future argument she has with a man who wrote the review ahead of time.   We do NOT, as in the X FILES, get hard and fast answers here. The man wrote the review and later Molly does tell him off with the same exact words Fi heard on the sound byte sent to her.   Fi later, at the manā€™s place of business, sees a video sent to the computer there (?) of their tour bus (and home for most of the series) heading straight into a stalled car after a rain storm. The writer, Ty Spencer, once wrote a review 12 years ago and it was the worst review for Molly and Rex...

MSN ROBOT REVOLUTION review by Chris Taylor (not good!)

THIS DOES NOT BODE WELLā€¦   MSN ROBOT REVOLUTION review by Chris Taylor     For a show that clings to a six-decade-old premise ā€” it's about the Doctor, an alien time traveler who can regenerate their body before death, the TARDIS, a time-and-space machine that's bigger on the inside, and the human companions along for the ride ā€” Doctor Who can seem surprisingly fresh when it's done right.   Why? Not because of the Doctor, as magnetically charming as the lead usually is (current charmer: Ncuti Gatwa). The Doctor may have doubts, setbacks, and mysteries to solve, but as any actor will tell you, very little in the way of character development. Freshness arrives via the companions, who provide the ever-shifting perspective of present-day culture. If the audience is not on board with a new companion by the time they step aboard the TARDIS, many will decline to take the trip.   So will fans (not to mention newbies) feel fresh on April 12? That'...
